Epixode – Bad To Bomboclat (WYFL Riddim)

Epixode brings the hardcore roots of dancehall back on Bad To Bomboclat (WYFL Riddim), an explosive, fearless record on the beat of the moment. The Ghanaian dancehall powerhouse rides the WYFL Riddim produced by DJ Mac and Crash Dummy with the aggressive delivery and stage-commanding presence he is known for, and the result is one of the toughest versions on the riddim.

The track taps into classic Jamaican dancehall expression while keeping a modern Ghanaian edge, and the lyrics video is on Epixode’s channel.

What Bad To Bomboclat is about

The song is a declaration of badness in the dancehall sense: confidence, lyrical strength and refusal to back down. Epixode fills the verses with patois-inflected boasts and Ghanaian street references, and the hook borrows one of dancehall’s most famous expletives for a chant that crowds shout back instantly. On a riddim shared with Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, it is a reminder that Epixode belongs in that conversation.

About Epixode

Epixode, born Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, is a Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste known for a raw, energetic style and a commanding live show. He won Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2021 and has built a catalogue of hard dancehall records that have made him one of the most respected voices in the genre outside its two biggest names.

Why the song connects

Dancehall fans in Ghana have long argued that Epixode deserves more credit than he gets, and Bad To Bomboclat gives them a record to make the case with. On a beat shared with the two biggest names in the genre, his version has drawn attention for its raw energy and authentic dancehall feel, and it has found a home in DJ sets and street sound systems across Accra. For new listeners, it is a direct introduction to one of the most credible dancehall voices in the country.
