Ghanaian musicians who got married in 2026

2026 has been a good year for love in Ghana music. From a star-studded traditional wedding in Accra to a quiet ceremony away from the cameras, a number of our musicians have said “I do” this year. Here is our list of Ghanaian musicians who got married in 2026, with their names, the people they married, when it happened and pictures from the ceremonies.

We only list weddings that have been reported by trusted Ghanaian media. Where a wedding has only been rumoured or announced, we say so clearly. This list is updated as new weddings are confirmed, so check back for the latest.

1. Efya and Tomi Thomas – 6 November 2026

Songstress Efya, known in private as Jane Awindor, married Nigerian musician Tomi Thomas at a colourful traditional wedding in Accra on Friday, 6 November 2026. Pulse Ghana and YEN.com.gh reported that guests included the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, the Paramount Chief of Akuapem, and stars such as Hajia4Reall, Fella Makafui and Sister Derby.

It came months after viral videos in February led to reports that the two had married; Efya’s management said at the time that it was only a knocking ceremony. Read the full story of Efya’s wedding to Tomi Thomas and see the best outfits in our Efya wedding pictures.

Music families: Kojo Antwi’s son and Queen Cynthia’s daughter

It was also a big year for two of Ghana’s best-known music families. Nana Asiamah, the eldest son of highlife legend Kojo Antwi, married Princess, the daughter of veteran singer Queen Cynthia, in October 2026. Pulse Ghana reported that the star-studded ceremony took place at Akosombo, with Kojo Antwi and Queen Cynthia both there to see their children wed.
