Anyone looking for an amapiano and afrobeats mix 2026 that is properly licensed and built by a working club DJ should start with AD DJ’s Club Crates Mix. The Ghanaian DJ put it out on Apple Music on 14 May 2026 as an official DJ Mix release, and it squeezes 47 tracks into roughly 96 minutes of log drums, Lagos bounce and a handful of Accra favourites near the end.

Who is AD DJ?
AD DJ is a Ghanaian DJ who told 3News in 2024 that he started spinning as a hobby while at university and has since spent about a decade behind the decks. He has made guest appearances on BBC and Capital Radio, and LA Mag Africa reports that he has played shows in Germany, France and South Africa. In July 2025, Apple Music picked him for its monthly Africa Now DJ Mix, a slot DJ Loft had become the first Ghanaian to hold just three months earlier. His Apple Music page also carries a 34-track Ghana Independence Day mix from March 2025 and AFRO STEP, a 23-track set released on the last day of 2025.
How the set moves
The first hour belongs mostly to South African amapiano. After opening with The Second Voice’s “Let Me Be”, AD DJ slips in his own Club Crates edit of “Roll It How Far”, then rides Al Xapo, Benzoo and EeQue’s “Snokonoko” straight into its sequel with Shallipopi. What follows is a long run of log-drum records: Tyler ICU and DJ Maphorisa’s “Manzi Nte”, Scotts Maphuma’s “Gijima”, Uncle Waffles’ “Zenzele” and Mr Pilato’s crowded posse cut “Biri Marung”, which pulls in Focalistic and DJ Maphorisa.
The Nigerian crossover records act as bridges. TxC and Davido appear twice, on “Nakupenda” and a hype edit of “Yebo”, while DJ Maphorisa, DJ Tunez, Wizkid and Mavo’s “Money Constant” sits right in the middle. From track 30 the tempo eases into Afrobeats proper with Young Jonn, Asake and Focalistic’s “2Factor”, Wizkid and Asake’s “Jogodo”, two Asake solo cuts and Ciza and Tems’ “Isaka II (6am)” with Omah Lay. Most songs last under two and a half minutes, which keeps the energy high and suits listeners who lose interest when one record drags.
The Ghana moments
Home listeners get their reward in the last ten tracks. Track 39 is a club mash-up that sets DopeNation’s “Kakalika”, which Graphic Showbiz and MyJoyOnline reported had made Spotify’s global songs of summer list, against Black Eyed Peas and Shakira’s “Girl Like Me”. Black Sherif’s “PopStar” follows at 42, KiDi’s “Babylon” lands at 45, and Essumann’s “Big Bricks II” with Medikal and Lalid comes in just before Mavo’s “Mofe” closes the night.
When to play it
At around 96 minutes, Club Crates Mix covers a full house party warm-up or a long drive in one go. Anyone who mainly wants Ghanaian songs should jump to the final 20 minutes; anyone who loves amapiano can stay with the opening hour.
