Kofi Kinaata Boot 4 Boot is out now, the newest single from Takoradi’s Fante Rap God. He released the song on 2 November 2026, after spending most of the year putting out a steady run of singles.
The single is released through Team Move. An official audio slide went up on Kofi Kinaata’s YouTube channel the same day. It puts the focus on the music rather than a full video production, which makes it an easy way to hear the song for the first time.
OT Woode and Willis Beatz produced the track together. OT Woode is a familiar name on Kinaata’s recent releases, and this is the first time on this run of singles that he shares the production with Willis Beatz.
Listeners can stream the song on Apple Music, Audiomack, Spotify and Boomplay, as well as on YouTube. Many fans have been typing the name into search engines as “boot for boot”, but the single is spelt with the numeral 4. Look for Kofi Kinaata Boot 4 Boot when you search for the new song on your favourite platform.
The song leans towards the Afrobeats side of his catalogue. That is a slight change of lane for a man whose name has long been tied to Fante rap, highlife-flavoured storytelling and quick wordplay. How he rides the beat will be the first thing many listeners judge.
Kinaata does not often hand out his best lines on a first listen. His writing tends to reward a second and third pass, and the audio slide suits that habit. Without a busy picture to compete with, the attention stays on his delivery and the production around it.
Where Kofi Kinaata Boot 4 Boot fits in his 2026 releases
This is not a one-off. Kinaata began the year with 10 Over 10, which arrived on 14 February 2026 with OT Woode behind the boards. That makes Boot 4 Boot the second time this year that the producer’s name sits beside his.
In April came For Nothing, first uploaded on 15 April. Five days later, on 20 April, a second version of the song appeared on his channel under the name Dr. Likee Akabenezer. Two uploads in one week gave the record a longer life than most singles get.
Black Stars followed on 3 June 2026. It came in two forms, an audio slide and a visualiser, both on the same day. You can read more in our earlier post on the Black Stars song. Boot 4 Boot returns to the audio slide format used for that release.
His channel also carried the Taadi Pozzo Corporate Highlife Show 2025 in early January, which shows that Kinaata’s work stretches beyond studio singles into live performance. The singles keep him in the conversation between shows, and four releases in under nine months is a steady pace.
Kofi Kinaata, whose real name is Martin King Arthur, was born on 15 April 1990 and raised in Effiakuma, a residential town in Takoradi in the Western Region. He went to Nana Brempong Yaw School for his primary education and Takoradi Technical Institute for secondary school.
His music career began to take shape in 2009, when he took part in the Melody FM Kasahari rap competition and finished as first runner-up. He put out his first single, “Obi Ne Ba”, in 2011. Two years later he joined the High Grade Family, the music collective founded by Samini, where he received mentorship and gained national attention.
In December 2015 he released “Made in Taadi”. Fante people embraced the song warmly because of its references to Ankos, the fancy dress and masquerade carnival the Fante hold every 24 December. It showed early on that his strength lay in local detail and in the way he speaks for the place he comes from. He is noted for unusual rhyme schemes and a humorous rap style, and both have shaped how people think of him.
Against that history, Kofi Kinaata Boot 4 Boot is a different proposition from a typical new single. A rapper who built his name on Fante lyricism and humour is working here with two producers and an Afrobeats-leaning sound. Whether it becomes one of his bigger records will depend on the people who stream it, share it and argue about it, from trotro stations to group chats.
The song is out, the audio slide is on YouTube, and the streaming links are live on four platforms. Watch the audio slide, stream the single on your preferred platform and tell us what you make of Kofi Kinaata Boot 4 Boot in the comments. If you like it, share it with a friend who still thinks Fante rap is only for Takoradi.
