Samini Ft Mugeez – Setup

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall icon Samini joins forces with R2Bees’ smooth vocalist Mugeez on a brand-new song titled “Setup.” The song blends dancehall rhythm with Afro-fusion melodies, creating a catchy yet thoughtful record that speaks on betrayal, fake love, and staying alert in a world full of hidden agendas.

On “Setup,” Samini delivers a confident and street-wise performance, warning listeners about enemies who pretend to be friends while plotting behind the scenes. His lyrics reflect real-life struggles, trust issues, and survival in the hustle. Mugeez complements the record with his emotional and melodic hook, adding depth and feeling to the song’s message about loyalty and deception.

The production is clean and modern, driven by a steady dancehall bounce and soft Afrobeat elements that make the song both reflective and danceable. The chemistry between Samini and Mugeez feels natural, as both artists bring different strengths—Samini’s bold delivery and Mugeez’s soulful vocals—into one unified sound.

“Setup” is more than just a vibe; it is a relatable anthem for anyone who has experienced betrayal or false friendships. The song encourages awareness, self-protection, and staying focused on one’s goals despite negative energy from others.

With this collaboration, Samini continues to show his versatility and relevance in the Ghanaian music scene, while Mugeez once again proves why he remains one of the most consistent and respected vocalists in African music.
