Who Is on This Highlife Mix?

DJ Latet lists four headline acts on this mix. He has not published a full song-by-song tracklist, so we will not guess one for you. What we can tell you is who the mix is built around:

• Daddy Lumba – the most celebrated name in Ghanaian highlife for more than three decades. For a full list of his music, see our Daddy Lumba songs page.
• Ofori Amponsah – one of the defining highlife voices of the 2000s, still loved for his love songs. He has also kept his name alive with collaborations like Odo Nwom (Remix) with Stonebwoy and KiDi.
• KK Fosu – a highlife singer whose smooth vocals have kept him relevant from the early 2000s to today. His recent release Na Through Me You Make The Oga is on GhanaSongs.com.
• Kofi Nti – a highlife artiste known for heartfelt love songs and a regular name on old school playlists.

When to Play This Old School Highlife Mix

A mix this long works best when you do not want to keep picking songs. Ghanaians tend to reach for old highlife at these times:

• Sunday afternoons at home, or while cooking for the family
• Long drives, especially on the Accra–Kumasi road
• Funerals, outdoorings and family gatherings where the older generation is present
• Weddings and engagement parties, before the DJ switches to Afrobeats
• Late evenings when you just want to relax

If you live abroad in the UK, US or Canada, this is the kind of mix that brings home a little closer.
